Emily Pearl Drew

Hi! I’m Emily Pearl. I have been absolutely in love with photography since I was about 13. I’ve always been drawn to the arts, both performing and visual in many forms and photography has given me a way to combine many of my interests and talents. I’ve been in theater since I was a child, was a ballroom dance major in college, and have dabbled in all sorts of mediums including sculpture and industrial art and so much more.
I saw an Annie Leibovitz spread in Vogue when I was in High School and although I don’t think I realized it at the time, it changed my life. I wanted to be able to create imagery and worlds like she does. I have so many visions in my head that want to be made real! But I never considered that photography or being an artist could be a realistic career goal and I kept it as my side gig and hobby until one day I woke up and realized that I could actually do what I truly loved. My children were still babies but I decided to go back to school to fill in my knowledge gaps and start this new adventure. And I am so grateful! Photography has already led me to so many wonderful opportunities including international travel and awards and getting to be an ambassador for this incredible company.

Josh Beaton

I’m an international award-winning photographer with 15 years of experience behind the lens. My style has been compared to the dramatic and moody looks that appear in high fashion magazines: luxury with an edge.

I fell in love with the art form when I began to realize how life-changing the portrait experience can be for clients. To witness someone really feel beautiful, sometimes for the first time in their lives, is a powerful draw. I would love to discuss your specific vision or help you create one before you come in for your portrait session.

Fun facts: I'm a Lakeview dad to two teenagers. In 2022, my wife and I co-founded The Tween Esteem Project, a 501c3 nonprofit that boosts the self-esteem and confidence of 11-17 year olds through portrait photography.

Ricalous Lewis

Hey there, I'm Ric! I am the lead photographer for Ric Lewis Photography (formerly Capture Wonder Photography) and Kayla Douglas Artistry. I have a degree in Electronics Engineering and I specialize as a Nuclear Imaging Engineer. I was so used to fixing medical imaging systems that photograph what is going on inside, I figured I'd photograph the outside too! My journey to photography was different from most. I actually started out with modeling for various bridal magazines and suit companies. I was used in various advertisements for suits, cigars, and whiskey. I thought that learning photography would teach me what a photographer sees from the other side and that it would help me to be a better model. I bought a cheap camera from a pawn shop and starting photographing other models I knew in the industry. Those images were published rather quickly and I realized I may be on to something special. Photography quickly became my passion over modeling. These days you'll find me on the other side of the camera, teaching workshops, or helping Kayla at photography conventions. Kayla and I met and started dating two years after I started Capture Wonder Photography (now Ric Lewis Photography). She has been my muse, second photographer,
modeling/posing coach for clients, and a support to my business.
Likewise, I help support Kayla Douglas Artistry.

Whitney Minten

Hi, I am Whitney Minten. I am an award-winning Portrait Artist out of
Madison, Wisconsin. I have degrees in biology, computer science and
robotics. While at university and as part of several robotics startups, I
wrote code to control robots and their various sensors, including
cameras. I also trained experts on how to use these robots in a variety
of settings, from search and rescue workers operating in a disaster, to
NASA astronauts training on the seafloor. I worked for several years at an optical spectrometer company where I programmed spectrometers and learned the physics behind light and color at their most fundamental levels. Later, I taught Photoshop and graphic design as an adjunct professor. Yet, it wasn’t until after I became a mom that I picked up a camera for the purpose of creating art. With the very first click, I knew I had found my calling. This unconventional career path has allowed me to bring to bear a diverse technical background that gives a unique depth to my photography as well as my backdrops.
